Unsafe handle caused recall of child's push buggy

by Administrator 17. May 2010 03:06

Health Canada and U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission are recalling nearly 2.5 million child's push buggys because of an unsafe handle that can detach and may cause parents or caregivers to lose control of the object.

The products affected by this recall are the Step2 Push Around Buggy and Whisper Ride Buggy, in all colors. The products have a red "Step2" logo on the handle. Step2 Co., an Ohio-based company, has received 28 complaints about the handle detaching. The company has been selling the products from 1999 to 2009. Regulators urge consumers to check and make sure that their child's buggy is not one of the recalled items.
