by Administrator 14. June 2010 02:03

A teenager was killed after jumping from a train trestle into a Big Walnut Creek.

Emergency crews recovered the body from a creek around 7 p.m. Witnesses called the police shortly after the accident when they saw the teen jump from the train. The accident occurred near the intersection of Reese and Rathmell Roads.

According to witnesses, the teen struggled staying above water once he landed in the creek. Officials say that foul play was not a factor in the accident.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim.
