Pedestrian was hit by a car and killed

Cincinnati police say a 26-year-old pedestrian was walking down the sidewalk near South Fairmont when he was suddenly struck by a car.

Investigators say a 21-year-old driver ran a red light striking another car. After hitting the car, the vehicle went on to the sidewalk striking the pedestrian. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with what was described as non- life threatening injuries.

The driver had someone in the passenger seat who recieved minor injuries and an 8-month-old baby who recieved no injuries.
