Six were injured and taken to the hospital after an accident in which a Jeep Cherokee slammed into a school bus. Four of the injured were elementary school students. The bus was carrying 26 children ranging in ages from kindergarten through 4th grade to school when the Jeep hit the bus as it was trying to cross Ohio 32. The Jeep slammed into the side of the bus, pushing it off the road but not flipping it. Although the four children did not sustain any major injuries, they were taken to the hospital for observation. The driver of the Jeep was seriously injured, and was taken by helicopter to University Hospital in Cincinnati. A child riding in the Jeep was also taken to the hospital, but, like the children from the school bus, was not seriously injured.
