by Administrator 16. March 2009 03:05

A crash in the beginning hours of Monday morning was fatal for at least one person.

The accident occurred at I-475 and US-23 after midnight on Monday.

It is not known what caused the accident to happen,  however initial reports state that the man was driving a truck that lost control, went to the side of the road then flipped and caught fire. The man who died is believed to be a Toledo off-duty police officer,  however it has not yet been confirmed because all family has not been notified.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and other emergency officials arrived at the scene of the accident to  offer emergency care and to investigate.
