Man serioulsy injured in crash on Route 7

A 44-year-old man was seriously injured in car accident on State Route 7 on May 23.

The man's car was struck by a pickup truck that crossed the center line just south of Route 164. The 29-year-old driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle on the road which caused the truck to cross the center line.

Both the 29-year-old driver and the passenger of the truck were treated at the scene for minor injuries.The 44-year-old man was tranpsorted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Driver dies after speeding car crashes into building

Ohio Police are investigating an incident that killed a speeding driving after his car flew into a building.

According to officials, a 26-year-old driver was driving at a speed of 90 miles per hour when he hit a mound in the road. This caused his vehicle to become airborne and launched his car 173 feet through the air before it hit the third story of an apartment complex. Residents of the apartment complex said the noise was so loud that many thought a bomb had gone off in the building.

Luckily, none of the residents were seriously injured. The driver of the vehicle was killed and an autopsy is being done to find out more details of the driver's death.

Biker and pedestrian involved in Cincinnati accident

A late night accident involving a car, motorcycle and pedestrian left two people in serious condition.

Around 1 a.m. on the 500 black on Cincinnati a car and motorcycle collided causing the motorcyclist to fly off of the bike and hit a pedestrian who was walking on a nearby sidewalk. Police are stilll investigating the cause of the accident but they are saying that speed may have been a factor in the collision. Both the motorcyclist and the pedestrian were taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Multiple accidents close bridge, 2 injured

Two separate early morning accidents sent one person to the hospital while another person sustained minor injuries.

The first accident occurred in the southbound lanes of I-71/75 near the Brent Spence Bridge, around 2 a.m. One person suffered from minor injuries but no one went to the hospital. The second accident occurred in the northbound lanes of the bridge soon after at 3:30 a.m. One person was injured and taken to the hospital. Lanes on the Brent Spence Bridge were closed for several hours.

2 Injured in Owensville Crash

Two people were injured Friday when a bus collided with a vehicle on Ohio 276 near Owensville.

 

According to officals with the Ohio State Highway Patrol's Batavia post, the crash occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. in the 4900 block of Ohio 276.  A Clermont Senior Services bus was traveling westbound when an oncoming Chevorlet Impala crossed the center line and collided with the vehicle. 

 

The bus driver was transported to Clermont Mercy Hospital with minor injuries, according to executive director of Clermont Senior Services George Brown. The woman driving the Impala was transported via helicopter to University Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati. 

 

The names of the two people involved have not been released pending notification of their families.

 

Brown said there were no passengers aboard the bus at the time of the crash.

Man Killed, Another Injured in 2-Car Dixie Crash

One man was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle crash in Northern Kentucky Friday.

 

According to officials with the Boone County Sheriff's Office, a 50 year-old man was attempting to navigate a left turn off Dixie Highway when he pulled into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The man died upon impact. Police have not released the name of the deceased pending notification of his family.

 

The driver of the other vehicle, 53 year-old Walton-resident Michael Doherty, was transported via helicopter to University Hospital in Cincinnati. Officers said they do not believe Doherty's injuries are life-threatening.

 

The accident, which remains under investigation, occurred shortly after 12:30 a.m. Friday in the 12000 block of Dixie Highway.
