Speeding causes late-night crash

A Cincinnati man was injured in a late night speeding car accident, according to Ohio State Patrol.

A 23-year-old man was heading west on Wilmington Road on May 31 when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. The impact caused the man to be thrown from the car. Officials believe that the man was speeding when he lost control of the car.

The vehicle flipped and rolled over multiple times before striking the tree. The vehicle was destroyed so badly that the engine was torn from the car. The man was airlifted to the hospital where he remains in serious condition.

Seven-vehicle crash closes roadway in Cincinnati

Beechmont Ave. was closed for several hours so the crews could clean up after a seven-vehicle accident occurred. The vehicles included two SUVs, two pickup trucks, two compact cars and a Metro bus.

The accident started with a pickup truck that ran a red light and collided with an SUV. The truck then hit a Scion and and another pickup truck. The SUV was pushed into another vehicle; this vehicle was then pushed into another smaller car.

Two people were sent to the hospital, one in critical condition. The woman who was driving in the SUV and a three-year-old child that was riding in the second pickup truck were injured. Witnesses of the accident said the man who was driving the pickup truck that started the collision clipped the back of the Metro bus a block west of the crash.

Ohio woman killed in three-vehicle accident

An Ohio woman was killed in a three-vehicle accident on U.S. 50 east of Highway 20.

According to highway patrol, a 77-year-old woman was driving east when she attempted to pass a semi-truck. The woman then hit the semi-truck which caused her car to spin across the lanes and she was then hit by an on-coming truck.

The driver of the semi was not hurt in the accident, but the Ohio woman was killed. The driver of the pickup truck was also injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.

"Good Samaritan" saves trapped driver

A person recently saved a driver who was trapped in his car after an accident.

A man was driving on Victory Parkway in Cincinnati when he ran a red light at an intersection and was struck by a female driver. The man's car was then overturned on its side. A person who either witnessed the accident or was at the scene immediately after, smashed out the window to man's car and pulled him out of the vehicle. The accident is still under investigation and the injuries to the man who was saved have not been released.

50-year-old man killed in fatal single-vehicle car crash

A 50-year-old Glencoe man died in a single-vehicle crash this Wendesday morning around 2:04 a.m. near Warsaw. Police on the scene report that the driver crossed the median on U.S. 42 in Gellatin County, striking an embarkment. The impact ejected him from the vehicle.

Preliminary toxicology reports suggest that the man was driving while intoxicated.

Three teens sent to hospital after accident

A 16-year-old male driver and his two female passengers, also teenagers, were transported to the hospital after their car crashed when they were attempting to "hill-hop."

Officials say that the vehicle was travelling at a fast speed and they were attempting to jump over a hill. The driver then lost control of the Chrysler, and the car ran off the road and struck a culvert. The car then swerved back over to the other side of the road and hit a utility pole which caused the car to flip and roll several times. The two passengers have been released from the hospital, but the driver is still in the intensive care unit.
