One man hospitalized after two-car accident

One man was transported to the hospital after a two-car accident that ended with one the vehicles catching fire.

The accident occcurred in Highland County on Gurneyville Road when one vehicle was heading eastbound, while going over a hill, struck by another vehicle driven by a 24-year-old. The 24-year-old was trying to turn into a driveway when he was struck by the oncoming vehicle.

An emergency crew arrived to the scene of the accident and found that the 24-year-old driver's car had caught fire after being struck. The driver was taken to the hospital, but is now in stable condition. The driver of the other car was not serioulsy injured, just a few bumps and bruises from the airbag.

Man serioulsy injured in crash on Route 7

A 44-year-old man was seriously injured in car accident on State Route 7 on May 23.

The man's car was struck by a pickup truck that crossed the center line just south of Route 164. The 29-year-old driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle on the road which caused the truck to cross the center line.

Both the 29-year-old driver and the passenger of the truck were treated at the scene for minor injuries.The 44-year-old man was tranpsorted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Driver dies after speeding car crashes into building

Ohio Police are investigating an incident that killed a speeding driving after his car flew into a building.

According to officials, a 26-year-old driver was driving at a speed of 90 miles per hour when he hit a mound in the road. This caused his vehicle to become airborne and launched his car 173 feet through the air before it hit the third story of an apartment complex. Residents of the apartment complex said the noise was so loud that many thought a bomb had gone off in the building.

Luckily, none of the residents were seriously injured. The driver of the vehicle was killed and an autopsy is being done to find out more details of the driver's death.

Ohio woman killed in three-vehicle accident

An Ohio woman was killed in a three-vehicle accident on U.S. 50 east of Highway 20.

According to highway patrol, a 77-year-old woman was driving east when she attempted to pass a semi-truck. The woman then hit the semi-truck which caused her car to spin across the lanes and she was then hit by an on-coming truck.

The driver of the semi was not hurt in the accident, but the Ohio woman was killed. The driver of the pickup truck was also injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
